Health Hack…Sync Up to Mother Earth

The field that is generated by and surrounds all living organisms is known as the bio-field.

Invisible to the naked eye, the human bio-field is composed of the frequencies, vibrations, and energies released by the cells of our body.

Research studies on the human bio-field show an intimate connection between external sources of electromagnetic energy and the human bio-field. This interaction also appears to have an impact on our physical, mental and emotional well-being.

To date, there has been no conclusive evidence on negative health impacts from non-ionizing/low-energy electromagnetic frequencies. These frequencies originate from cell phones, appliances and other power sources.

Compared to our ancestors however, we are now being bombarded by these frequencies on and this most certainly places excess stress on our bodies. The reality of modern technological society is that we are inside most of the time. Getting out in nature is not the norm, especially for those of us who reside in urban environments.

What about very low frequencies found in nature? Are these helpful or harmful?

Proponents of a healing method called ‘Grounding’ or ‘Earthing’ believe we can use the Earth’s energy to cure ourselves of stress related illness, pain and inflammation. These very low frequencies (7.83-20.3 Hz) are known as the Schumann resonance or Earth’s heartbeat.

To explain this concept, I need to dig into how and why the Earth has resonance. Basically, our Earth is a giant electrical circuit and the lower layer of our atmosphere; the ionosphere, is the conductor.

Daily and frequent lightning storms on Earth result in a build-up of electricity between the ionosphere and the earth.

As a result, electromagnetic waves begin to travel in a circle around the earth. The end result is that some of these waves sync up and create Schumann resonance frequencies.

How does all of this relate to the practice of ‘Grounding’?
Proponents of this technique believe that we have become out of sync with Earth’s healing frequencies. Wearing shoes, driving cars and being inside too much has created negative health effects which can be improved by touching the Earth…literally.

Adding insult to injury, we live in increasingly urban environments which are plagued with energy pollution from electromagnetic emitting devices of all kinds.

‘Grounding’ advocates get in sync with the Earth by bare skin contact with fresh dirt on the ground so that they can heal their disrupted biofield and the diseases which come along with that.

I just want to know how you explain that to your neighbors or hikers passing by?

If rolling around in the dirt seems too primal, you can now buy grounding merchandise in the form of mats, sheets and flip flops on Amazon. Of course, any technique with lots of merchandise for sale immediately brings out the skeptic in me.

At the end of the day, is all this dirt bathing and buying of ‘Grounding’ accessories necessary to heal ourselves from chronic disease?

I personally am not convinced. The theory behind ‘Grounding” however, is valid and very interesting. It’s true, we have become disconnected from the Earth compared to our ancestors. Electromagnetic pollution causes stress and stress causes chronic disease.

Most importantly, what does empirical science have to say about all of this?

Researchers have observed that Schumann frequencies interact with the human biofield in interesting ways.

In 2016, Canadian researchers measured participants brain waves with QEEG (quantitative electroencephalogram) and discovered that the brainwaves of many of their subjects were synced up with the Schumann Resonance frequency of that geographical location.

Furthermore, it appears that it’s not just brainwaves synching up with Earth’s heartbeat but also our physiology.

In Japan, the practice of tree bathing is commonly recommended by the medical establishment.

Getting out in the woods and away from the electromagnetic pollution of the city, reduces blood levels of the stress hormone cortisol, lowers blood pressure and improves immune function.

My personal thoughts on all of this is that we do need time in nature, away from the electromagnetic and sound pollution that surrounds us. I think the Japanese practice of tree bathing is much more powerful than the concept of ‘Grounding’ and it’s much simpler to implement.

If we make it a priority to get outside in nature at least 2-3x per week, walk barefoot in the grass, plant a garden etc. perhaps our biofield and our physiology will sync up with the heartbeat of Mother Earth rather than the man made environments surrounding us.

Personally, I’ll leave special flip-flops, sheets and rolling naked in dirt to the ‘Grounders’ while I plant a garden take a quiet stroll in the trees. https://ladailypost.com/leonard-can-we-live-healthier-by-syncing-up-to-mother-earth/
